When times get tough companies start to cut costs and in many cases their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) budgets, environmental targets and charity / community funding are at the top of the list. Many companies delegated the job of supply-chain auditing to their CSR departments to ensure their brands were protected from the negative effects from child labour and poor environmental practises. This resulted in departmental expansion beyond any other with costs estimated last year to have topped 10 million Euros per annum for some of the larger companies.

The current trend is for companies to cut their CSR departments and audit their supply-chain to an internationally recognised standard like ISO-9001 and ISO-14001 is growing fast. This is helping companies reduce their CSR overheads, but puts pressure on suppliers looking to win contracts to gain ISO certification.

This is why we are please to announce our working with the BSI to help companies understand the benefits and cost associated with ISO certification. Please find informations below about the BSI Group.
